SHE is the VOICE of the HOPELES and

the BRINGER of JUSTICE.

SHE is powerful. Women have the urge to be resilient and take control of their own lives. In Sri Lanka, it’s the WOMEN who work hard. The women provide for their families and support them financially and also emotionally. Sri Lankan women are robust, powerful and independent peace soldiers. Women in Sri Lanka who have fought through their own adversity have become the breadwinners of the household.

The women that I have photographed and all the other beautiful women I know are powerhouse women, and they are survivors. The women in Sri Lanka are women of substance and women who care, love and are always there for other women like them, even if they aren’t in the same position. The women are powerful, amazing women who fight for the greater good. The women that have come out of adversity are loved and strong but have managed to get out of there and worked tirelessly to be better, creating a better tomorrow, striving to get better, striving to make a future, striving to be stronger, striving to heal faster, striving for freedom and to help those in need in hard times. The women I know in this magazine, and many others not included, are the best women I know in Sri Lanka.
